(KRON) — A 21-year-old man accused of possession and distribution of child pornography was taken into custody last week, according to the Napa County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies arrested Elias David Arcilla, of Vallejo, on Friday after uncovering more than 600 images of child pornography, authorities said. Arcilla is also facing charges for allegedly attempting to communicate with a minor with the intent of committing a sexual offense.
According to the California Penal Code, if more than 600 images are found with 10 or more involving a minor under 12 years old, punishment includes up to 5 years in state prison or a fine up to $2,500 or both.
Arcilla, who authorities said previously lived in American Canyon, was booked into the Napa County Jail with bail set at $100,000.
