A camera at Los Angeles International Airport is broadcasting the massive plume of smoke arising from the fast-moving wildfire that is torching areas of the Pacific Palisades Tuesday morning.
The Palisades Fire began as a vegetation fire in the 1100 block of North Piedra Morada Drive, though it had grown to at least 20 acres by 11 a.m.
High winds and dry conditions have created “extreme” fire danger in the area, according to the National Weather Service.
Residents have been told to be prepared to evacuate.
