(KRON) — Girl group Aespa announced it has extended its “Synk: Parallel Line” tour, which includes a Bay Area stop. The South Korean-based act is scheduled for an Oakland Arena show at 8 p.m. on Jan. 30, 2025, Aespa announced on X.
This will be Aespa’s first headlining show in the Bay Area. It won’t be the first time the quartet performed here as they performed in San Francisco’s Outside Lands in 2023.
The group’s first world tour in 2023, “Synk: Hyper Line,” only had eight U.S. shows and did not have a Bay Area concert, only a Los Angeles one in California.
Aespa is a four-member girl group consisting of Karina, Winter, Ningning and Giselle.
Under its label SM Entertainment, Aespa made its debut in 2020. The group has built up one of the largest fanbases for any K-pop girl group today with more than 14 million Instagram followers and another 4 million on X.
Other North American dates on the “Synk: Parallel Line” tour include a Los Angeles, Chicago, Seattle and Mexico City show.
Aespa becomes the latest K-pop act to headline Oakland Arena, a venue known to host concerts of that genre. Numerous acts — such as IU, ITZY, Enhypen, IVE and Ateez — have performed in the indoor arena this year.
Tickets will go on sale starting with the WeVerse presale on Thursday, Oct. 3 at 3 p.m. PT. General sale begins Oct. 4 at 10 a.m. PT. They can be purchased on Ticketmaster.
