SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — BART is experiencing major service disruptions on the Green Line Friday afternoon. According to Bay Area Rapid Transit District officials, there is no service at all on the Green line between Berryessa and Daly City.
Additionally, the Berryessa line is experiencing a major delay in all directions due to an equipment problem on the track. Trains are turning back at Hayward and Fremont stations as of 2:16 p.m., BART said.
AC Transit is providing a free bus bridge between those two stations on bus 99, according to transit officials.
Earlier Friday, Powell Street BART station in San Francisco was shut down completely after police shot an allegedly armed man during a foot pursuit.
BART officials gave no timeframe for when Friday’s service disruption would be resolved. Other lines are not impacted.
