Congressman Ted Lieu manages to consistently embody everything that is wrong with liberal/progressive government. Even when he is doing good, he is doing bad.
His recent press release “Rep Lieu Celebrates $1 Million He Secured For The LA Harbor Boys And Girls Clubs” is an example.

Boys And Girls Clubs is/are surely a wonderful organization worthy of support. But every penny of that money was taken by force through government taxes and inflation. It wasn’t his to give.
Charity is NOT an essential government function. Charity is a private function.
The government takes away our money and gives it to both worthy and unworthy groups simply to buy support to get themselves reelected, and the Democrats are the worst offenders of them all.
We need to reduce government spending, and government “charity” is a great place to start.
