(KRON) — The San Jose Police Department (SJPD) was dispatched to multiple reports of sideshows across the city on Saturday night. The illegal street activity also included a vehicle that was fully engulfed in flames, the department announced.
In total, 17 vehicles were impounded in connection to those sideshows, according to SJPD. Police did not specify exactly how many sideshows took place that night.
SJPD posted photos of several vehicles that were impounded Saturday night (see below).
The vehicle that was on fire was abandoned at an unspecified location in East San Jose. San Jose Fire Department (SJFD) crews were able to quickly extinguish the car fire.
SJPD did not report any injuries or damages as a result of the sideshows. Multiple citations were issued, but the department did not specify how many arrests, if any, were made.
“Do not come to San José and endanger our community. There will be consequences,” SJPD wrote on social media.
