(KRON) — An 18-year-old was arrested for an act of “excessive vandalism” at John Reed Elementary School that forced officials to cancel classes this past Monday.
The Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety said its patrol units arrived at 390 Arlen Drive within minutes Monday of being alerted of an overnight break-in and found that “various rooms within the school” had been vandalized.
RPDPS said detectives arrested David Beach on Thursday for the incident. The 18-year-old was booked into the Sonoma County Jail, and faces several charges including burglary, vandalism, and grand theft.
Despite the arrest, this remains an active and ongoing investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Ashley Freyer at (707) 588-3513.
