Officers cornered a pursuit suspect in a downtown Los Angeles parking garage on Monday night after a high-speed chase through the city.
The California Highway Patrol said the driver was originally wanted for speeding by the West Covina Police Department.
CHP, which later took over the pursuit, described the suspect vehicle as a maroon Chevy pickup truck.
The truck was being chased eastbound on 10 Freeway before traveling westbound onto the 60 Freeway, and eventually going onto surface streets downtown.
Around 11 p.m., the truck was pulled into a parking garage near South Grand Avenue and West 8th Street in downtown Los Angeles.
Sky5 was overhead when authorities surrounded the parking garage and began covering all access points, with more law enforcement arriving to help.
Sky5 was forced to leave the area and it is unknown if the suspect has been taken into custody.
