(KRON) — Benicia police said a 32-year-old man walked into a Benicia gas station, grabbed a slushie drink then waited for customers to leave before demanding money from the cashier.
The incident happened Sunday afternoon on the 4000 Block of Rocklin Road.
Police said the suspect eventually broke open the cash register, “took the cash (and his slushie drink” and drove away from the scene.

Witness information gathered led to police issuing a “be on the lookout” (BOLO) alert to other neighboring law enforcement agencies
Officers from the Rocklin Police Department later located the suspect’s vehicle and detained the suspect. The man was arrested by Benicia police and taken to Solano County Jail. He faces a charge of first-degree robbery.
