(KRON) — Some schools in Antioch were placed on lockdown Monday afternoon as police investigated a report of a fight nearby in which one person may have been armed, authorities said.
The Antioch Police Department responded at 2:45 p.m. to the area of Lone Tree Way and Deer Valley Road for the reported physical altercation. Arriving officers learned the suspects ran toward the Country Hills Drive area, and police drones were put into the air to find them, APD said.

With the drones, police said the suspects were seen getting into a vehicle.
“As a precautionary measure, nearby schools were notified of the potential threat and initiated lockdown procedures,” APD said.
A traffic stop of the suspect vehicle was conducted, police said, and officers searched the vehicle as well as the areas where the suspects were seen fleeing. No firearms were located in any of the searches.
Antioch PD informed the schools that there were no ongoing public safety threats, and the lockdowns were lifted.
Police announced no arrests in the incident.
