(KRON) — Milpitas police said a 27-year-old San Jose man with a dagger was arrested after a business was vandalized over the weekend. Police said the man has an outstanding warrant for a separate vandalism case.
The incident happened Sunday near the 1800 block of McCarthy Boulevard.
Milpitas PD said officers quickly responded at 11:26 a.m. to the report of a suspect vandalizing a business’s security cameras.
Police said the man tried to run away but was detained by police a short time later. He has not yet been identified.
The Milpitas Police Department said the man was booked into jail. He faces several charges, including vandalism, prowling, possession of drug paraphernalia, a probation violation, possession of a dirk/dagger, resisting arrest, and an outstanding warrant for vandalism and violating the terms of their probation.
