(KRON) — Two people were seen feeling the scene of a fatal single-vehicle collision in Hayward overnight Sunday, according to the Hayward Police Department.
Police responded around 3:25 a.m. to the report of a solo crash near the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Gresel Street. Arriving officers located the vehicle rolled over onto its driver’s side after it apparently struck the east curb of Mission Blvd, Hayward PD said.
A 41-year-old Hayward resident, whose identity was not released, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. The person was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“Witnesses on scene reported two unidentified males fleeing the scene of the collision,” Hayward police said.
Drugs or alcohol were not ruled out as factors in the crash.
