SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A fire broke out at a school in San Francisco on Monday, according to the San Francisco Fire Department. The fire happened at The Dahlia School of San Francisco on the 100 block of Channel Street.
The children at the Montessori school were safely evacuated via an emergency evacuation route school staff prepared for, SFFD said. The fire accidentally started when an object was left on top of an electric stove.
SFFD first posted about the fire on X at 5:25 p.m. About two hours later, the fire department announced that the fire had been extinguished. No injuries were reported.
