(KRON) – Two-time Grammy Award-winner Cyndi Lauper is returning to the Bay Area for the last leg of her “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” farewell tour. The pop sensation announced two shows in the South and East Bay.
The first show will be in Mountain View at Shoreline Amphitheatre on Sunday, August 24. Two days later, the pop singer is scheduled to perform at the Toyota Pavilion in Concord.
Last November in San Francisco, Lauper took the Chase Center stage for the tour (images below).

Lauper is not only a Grammy Award winner, she is also an Academy Award away from being an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, Tony awards) recipient. Her hit singles “Time After Time” and “True Colors” earned the top spot for multiple weeks on the Billboard 100 in the 80s.
For Sacramento area fans, Lauper also added a show at the Toyota Amphitheatre in Wheatland, which is roughly 40 miles north of the city.
General sale tickets will be available at 10 a.m. on Friday, while presale begins on Tuesday. Tickets can be bought at Cyndi Lauper’s website.
