SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — A San Francisco bakery renowned for its croissants has just opened a new location. Arsicault, which already operates two other locations in the city, opened in the city’s Mission Rock neighborhood Monday morning — just in time for breakfast.
Arsicault’s croissants are a hot commodity and are known to draw in long lines of customers out the door. That’s exactly what happened Monday morning.
The new location, which is not far from Oracle Park, was supposed to open last year, but that date got pushed back.
“You just have to have it,” said customer Michael Chang. “It is better than any croissant around the world. Better than Paris even.”
“They congratulated us on being the first customers,” said customer Connor Sullivan, who was among the first inside the new location. “I got here at 6:55 a.m. I was surprised there was no one else here first honestly. Then people started showing up at 7:05, and then the line got crazy.”
Arsicault’s original location in the Richmond District opened in 2015. A second location later opened at the Civic Center. The new Mission Rock location is open from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. during the week.
Starting on April 5, just in time for the San Francisco Giants’ home opener, they’ll also be open on weekend.
