Chipotle customers can now customize their tacos, burritos, salads and quesadillas with a new protein option.
The chain announced Thursday that it’s adding Chipotle Honey Chicken to menus in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom on March 7. The new protein will be added to menus in France and Germany on March 12, a news release said.
The Chipotle Honey Chicken is made with fresh chicken hot off the grill, seasoned with savory Mexican spices, marinated in seared, smoked chipotle peppers and a touch of pure honey.
“Chipotle Honey Chicken was our top performing limited-time offer in test markets, and we’re excited for guests to taste this bold, new protein with their go-to order,” Chris Brandt, chief brand officer, said in a statement. “The delicate balance of heat and a touch of sweetness pairs perfectly with our real ingredients prepared fresh every day.”
Customers can try the ‘Most Popular Chipotle Honey Chicken Bowl,’ which is available on the Chipotle app and website for easy ordering. The bowl includes Chipotle Honey Chicken with white rice, black beans, fajita veggies, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce.
