A 19-year-old man was arrested Tuesday, March 4, on suspicion of fatally shooting another man inside his vehicle in Anaheim.
The shooting occurred around 6 p.m. on Feb. 27 in the area of Ball Road, west of Sunkist Avenue. Officers responded to a report of a driver who appeared to be passed out behind the wheel, only to discover he had been shot. The 32-year-old victim was hospitalized and died shortly after. He was identified as Anthony Aceves Espino from Anaheim.
Working alongside investigators from the Gang Unit and Crime Task Force, detectives arrested Lawrence Romero from Orange.
He was booked on suspicion of murder, the Anaheim Police Department said in a statement.
