SAN JOSE, Calif. (KRON) — San Jose police released details on Monday about three separate, deadly traffic accidents in the city.
The most recent fatality happened around 2:18 a.m. Sunday on South White Road and Park Lane, where a man was run over by an SUV. The pedestrian was “in the middle of the street outside of any marked crosswalk,” when a 2005 Buick SUV struck him, San Jose Police Department Sgt. Jorge Garibay wrote.
The pedestrian died at the scene. Police said the Buick driver remained on scene and cooperated with their investigation.
The second fatal crash happened on February 18 just after 1:30 p.m. on Almaden Expressway and Bryan Avenue. A man driving a 2012 Infiniti sedan was speeding on Almaden Expressway when he lost control and his car side-swiped a 2015 Ford coupe, SJPD said. The Infiniti sedan continued out-of-control across the highway’s median and veered into oncoming traffic.

The Infiniti collided head-on with a 2024 Hyundai sedan in the northbound lanes of Almaden Expressway. A woman who was driving the Hyundai sedan was treated at a hospital for injuries and she survived. The Infiniti driver succumbed to his injuries at a hospital and was pronounced deceased on Sunday, police said.
The third crash unfolded at 1:39 a.m. on February 15 on Story Road at Kollmar Drive. A man was driving a 2010 Toyota sedan on Story Road when he crashed into a tree. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, according to SJPD. The driver died from his injuries two weeks later, police said.
Law enforcement officials did not release the victims’ names. There have been six deadly crashes in San Jose in 2025.
