(KRON) – Police are investigating a suspicious death that occurred on Saturday, according to the Redwood City Police Department.
At 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, officers responded to the 600 Block Fox Court East for the report of an unconscious and unresponsive person.
Responding officers found a 44-year-old man who was not breathing. The Redwood City Fire Department and paramedics also responded to the scene.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said there is no current threat to public safety.
RCPD said investigators are collaborating with the San Mateo County Coroner’s Office to determine the cause due to the victim’s age and the uncertainty surrounding the cause of death.
