Update: Wind advisory for Los Angeles County for Thursday

Los Angeles County is included in an updated wind advisory issued by the National Weather Service on Wednesday at 11:17 p.m. The advisory is valid for Thursday, Feb. 27 between 3 a.m. and noon.

According to the NWS Los Angeles/Oxnard CA, “Northeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected.”

“Gusty Santa Ana winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result,” according to the NWS. “Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.”

  • Western Santa Monica Mountains Recreational area
