Crews quickly knocked down two spot fires burning in the hills near Dodger Stadium on Thursday night.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said the fires were first called in around 9:10 p.m. near the 2000 block of North Stadium Way.
LAFD issued an update around 9:30 p.m. saying crews arrived to find and quickly extinguish one small fire in an encampment and were working on an additional 1/4-1/2 acre brush fire.
The department added that there was no worry of wind, but that the fires were burning on steep terrain.
Sky5 was overhead, and KTLA’s Gil Leyvas reported seeing firefighters cut through moderate to heavy brush to get to the flames.
Within minutes after arriving, live video from Sky5 showed the crews quickly extinguishing the flames from each spot fire.
LAFD did not immediately report any injuries as a result of this fire.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
