(KRON) — Months after the grand opening in Pleasanton, another Costco is opening in the East Bay very soon. Costco in Brentwood is opening next month on Friday, March 7, according to Mayor Susannah Meyer.
The Costco is opening at 5151 Heidorn Ranch Road on the city’s northwest border with Antioch. The grand opening is set to kick off with a 7 a.m. ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Talks about bringing a Costco to Brentwood have been in the works in the past five to 10 years, according to Meyer. The Costco is expected to bring in more than 100 jobs. The retail giant is expected to bring in more than $1 million in tax revenue to the city.
KRON4 first reported about Costco opening in Brentwood in July of 2024.
Meyer said big crowds are expected at the grand opening on March 7 — similar to the one in Pleasanton which was the day before Thanksgiving. Hours for the Costco are still to be determined.
Brentwood is the third Bay Area city to open a Costco within the past year. Napa and Pleasanton both had their respective locations open in the latter half of 2024.
