(KRON) — A man was arrested at a Santa Rosa hotel on Wednesday after Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office deputies found a large stash of child pornography and methamphetamine in his room, SCSO said.
SCSO first contacted the suspect, 29-year-old Peter Vincent-Macias, on Jan. 7. Deputies searched his hotel room and arrested him on suspicion of selling meth and violating court terms from a previous case.
Detectives seized Vincent-Macias’ phone and found photos and videos showing child pornography, SCSO said.
Authorities described the content as “gruesome,” involving victims as young as infants. Detectives secured an arrest warrant for Vincent-Macias that raised his bail to $230,000.
Detectives returned to his hotel room on Wednesday. They found more than 600 images of child pornography, including at least 10 showing kids as young as 11 years old. He again had meth for sale, SCSO said.
Vincent-Macias is in custody at the Sonoma County Main Adult Detention Facility.
