Bail revoked for Santa Rosa man accused of selling drugs to teens who OD’d

SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KRON) — A Sonoma County judge has revoked the $2 million bail for Ramon Nunez, a Santa Rosa man accused of selling cocaine to two teenage girls. Nunez is believed to have supplied cocaine laced with fentanyl to two other teens in Santa Rosa, which authorities suspect led to their deaths.

“We are seeking justice for the victims,” said Sonoma County District Attorney Carla Rodriguez.

The bodies of 16-year-old Gia Walsh and 18-year-old Logan Camp were found at Walsh’s home on Saturday. Police suspect they ingested cocaine supplied by Nunez that was laced with fentanyl.

While authorities await lab results to confirm the presence of fentanyl in the cocaine, they have already charged Nunez in connection with supplying fentanyl-laced cocaine to a 14-year-old and a 16-year-old girl. Both girls were found unresponsive over the weekend but survived after being taken to the hospital.

Nunez, 21, remains in custody at the Sonoma County Main Detention Center and has not entered a plea. He is scheduled to return to court next month, where he could face additional charges, including second-degree murder, if further evidence links him directly to the teens’ deaths.
