(KRON) — A shelter-in-place advisory is in place as the Hillsborough Police Department investigates a police shooting with a suspect that occurred in the police department’s parking lot on Saturday afternoon.
Hillsborough PD said there is a “large law enforcement presence” in the area. Police confirmed that the suspect remains at large.
The Burlingame Police Department advised residents at 5:12 p.m. of a shelter-in-place advisory until further notice. Residents are being told to stay indoors and lock all doors and windows.
People are urged to avoid the area as police conduct an active search operation for the suspect.
