(KRON) — The Santa Clara Police Department alerted a fatal two-vehicle crash Thursday evening has closed the intersection of Northbound Montague Expressway at Mission College Boulevard with no estimated time of reopening.
Santa Clara PD is telling commuters to avoid the area and take alternate routes.
Police said officers responded at 6:18 p.m. to the report of a collision involving a vehicle and a motorcycle. Medical personnel with the Santa Clara Fire Department confirmed the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Santa Clara Police Department said it will continue to provide updates as they become more available.
