(KRON) — The Bay Area Rapid Transit District announced it will run a modified service on its Green Line Thursday morning after “rail defects” were found between Fremont and Union City.
According to transit officials, Green Line BART trains are terminating at South Hayward. There is no Green Line service between South Hayward and Berryessa during the modified service.
AC Transit is providing bus service on route 99 between Fremont and South Hayward, BART said.
A service advisory issued Thursday morning states: “Passengers traveling from the San Francisco line can board a Dublin/Pleasanton train and transfer at Bayfair to a Berryessa train. Those traveling from the Berryessa line can board a Richmond train and transfer at Bayfair to a Daly City train.”
The defects were found during a routine track inspection, BART said. According to officials, repairs are planned to take place Thursday night after BART service ends.
