(KRON) — A Brentwood resident who had just withdrawn money from an Antioch bank was robbed and assaulted outside their home last week, the Brentwood Police Department said Tuesday.
Police responded around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday on a report of an armed robbery. Officers learned that the victim withdrew a “significant” amount of money from the Wells Fargo Bank at 5859 Lone Tree Way in Antioch and went home. Upon arrival, the victim was confronted by three suspects.
Brentwood PD reported that one suspect threatened the victim with a gun while another physically assaulted the victim. The three, who police said were dressed in dark clothing and are believed to be adults, stole the cash and fled the area on foot.
The victim was not seriously injured, according to authorities.

“We encourage everyone to stay vigilant when visiting banks or ATMs,” Brentwood PD said on social media. “Be aware of your surroundings, and if you suspect you are being followed, call 9-1-1 immediately.”
