(KRON) — San Jose police are asking for the public’s help after a shooting Wednesday marked the city’s second homicide of the year.
San Jose PD said patrol officers responded at 2:17 p.m. to the report of a shooting in the 800 block of Farm Drive. When police arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Despite life-saving measures from officers, the man later succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital.

Investigators said it is not clear what led to the incident as they search for a motive. San Jose police said its Homicide Unit responded to the scene and is handling the case.
The Santa Clara County Coroner’s Office said the victim’s identity will be released after notifying next of kin.
