(KRON) — The San Jose Police Department announced Tuesday that it had arrested a man for trafficking a minor. A patrol call came in on Jan. 31 and detectives from the SJPD Sexual Assault Investigations Unit identified evidence of potential human trafficking involving a minor.
The case was referred to the Human Trafficking Task Force (HTTF). Further investigation, police said, indicated that Dante Lee Price, 23, of San Jose, was trafficking a 16-year-old survivor for commercial sex.

Detectives obtained a warrant for Price’s arrest. On Friday, Feb. 7, detectives from SJPD HTTF and the Covert Response Unit (CRU) arrested Price in San Jose for human trafficking of a minor. The juvenile survivor was rescued and provided with resources.
Despite the arrest, the investigation remains ongoing. Police believe that more victims exist. Anyone with information related to the case is asked to contact the SJPD Human Trafficking Task Force.
