Startups are always finding ways to make life easier with must-have gadgets.
“It’s such an exciting time to see what is new and next in technology. What we may have in hand and the concepts that are a little further out into the future,” said Alesha Boyd, editor-in-chief of Mashable.

Here are a few of my more interesting finds from CES 2025.
Olight OStation X, $120
Olight is known for their flashlights but now they’re tackling dead batteries with the OStation. Rechargeable batteries are great for the environment but can be tricky to manage. The OStation solves this by automatically identifying rechargeable batteries, rejecting the rest, and keeping up to 32 batteries charged and ready to go.
Hyve Secure Package Delivery, $300
Packages going missing? Hive is a smart package delivery box designed to prevent theft. Delivery personnel use a one-time code to unlock the box and drop the package inside. They can even snap a confirmation photo through a small window. Plus, since it’s locked, less packaging is needed. Available in June.
Elvie Rise, $800
New parents know how exhausting those first few months can be. Elvie Rise hopes to help with a bouncer that transforms into a bassinet. This tech lets babies transition easily from play to sleep.
Plantafom, $500
How about the concept of K-Cups, but for plants? Plantafom looks like a UFO landed in your living room, but it’s actually a fog-powered garden. Originally developed by NASA to grow plants in space, the futuristic looking pod delivers water and nutrients directly to the roots in a highly oxygenated environment. The result? Plantaform says plants grow faster, healthier and yield more. All without the mess of soil.
