(KRON) – Explosives and various weapons were found in a convicted felon’s vehicle, according to the Vallejo Police Department.
On Feb. 2, Vallejo police officers pulled over a 2022 Dodge Charger with no license plates near Highway 80 and Tennessee Street.
The driver of the Dodge gave the officers a valid California driver’s license. However, it revealed he had a no-bail felony warrant for a probation violation related to a weapons offense from Contra Costa County. Police also discovered the suspect is a convicted felon whose probation terms prohibit him from possessing firearms, ammunition, weapons, explosives or body armor.

Police detained the suspect.
A search of the suspect’s car uncovered two body armor vests, a replica firearm, a conducted energy device, a baton and a box of ammunition. Police said the suspect admitted to possessing the prohibited items, claiming he worked as a security guard and provided his work credentials.
The suspect was arrested and booked into the Solano County Jail. The suspect’s car was towed.
