(KRON) — The Alameda County District Attorney’s Office announced Friday that a 24-year-old Oakland man was charged in connection with the armed robbery of two elderly people.
The DA’s office said Fernando Michael Lamson faces two counts of second-degree robbery for Wednesday’s incident.
Prosecutors said Lamson used a firearm to target the 95-year-old and 71-year-old victims as they were returning home from shopping in Oakland.
The DA said the charges also include enhancements for violent crimes against vulnerable victims.
Lamson was arraigned on Friday. He faces more than 16 years in state prison if convicted of all charges.
