Thousands of runners took to the Huntington Beach streets Sunday morning, clocking miles with the Pacific Ocean in the background and cheering supporters along their route.
The Surf City Marathon got started early in the morning, there was also a half marathon and 5K and on Saturday a more chill beach mile run that included lots of kids.
The marathon route took the runners along Pacific Coast Highway, but they also beat a path inland to check out Huntington Beach Central Park before returning to the coast for the finish.
First to break the tape were Antoine Puglisi of Los Angeles for the men and Stefanie Cullingford for the women.
