Black Eyed Peas cancel Las Vegas residency

A major announcement about an upcoming Las Vegas residency.

The Black Eyed Peas have canceled their residency at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino’s PH Live due to “current circumstances.”

It’s unclear if the recent wildfires in Southern California are the circumstances being referenced.

On Sunday, will.i.am, Apl.de.Ap and Taboo took to the band’s Instagram Stories to break the news to their fans.

“To our dearest Peabodies,” they wrote . “It is with a heavy heart that, in light of current circumstances, our Las Vegas shows will not be moving forward as planned. Ticket providers will issue full refunds automatically. Stay tuned for updates on future performances by following us — we can’t wait to see you again.”

The residency was called, “Black Eyed Peas: 3008 The Las Vegas Experience,” and was set to kick off on Feb. 15 with 15 shows stretching across February, March and May.

The artists have been performing together for three decades, starting in 1995. In 2002, the singer Fergie joined the group leading to popular singles like “Boom Boom Pow” and “I Gotta Feeling.” They racked up a total of six Grammy wins. Fergie left the group in 2018.
