(KRON) — The Vallejo Police Department said officers responded to a report of a stabbing near the intersection of Lemon and Third streets at 2:18 p.m. Friday.
Vallejo PD said officers discovered a man at the location who was suffering from at least one stab wound. Despite life-saving efforts, police said the man succumbed to his injuries at a nearby hospital.
Vallejo police confirmed this incident is the City of Vallejo’s 1st recorded homicide for 2025.
Police stated the victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Solano County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office.
Vallejo PD said its Homicide Unit is now handling the case. The motive and circumstances surrounding the stabbing are under investigation, said police.
