Seniors Gloria Barrera and Mya Barnes reached major scoring milestones Tuesday as Buena Park’s girls basketball team continued to roll in the Empire League.
Barrera recorded her 2,000th career point and Barnes notched her 1,000 career point in a 70-57 victory against visiting Segerstrom.
Barrera, who entered the week leading Orange County in scoring with a 29.2 average, finished with 32 points. Barnes added eight points for the Coyotes (14-5, 4-0).
Claudia Solis scored 22 points, including four 3-pointers, to pace three double-digit scores for the Jaguars (16-6, 1-2).
On Saturday, Buena Park faces Windward at the Norco showcase at 1:30 p.m.

In the Trinity League:
JSerra 53, Orange Lutheran 46: Shae Talleur scored 17 points, including five 3-pointers, to lead three double-digit scorers for the visiting Lions (11-8, 1-0). JSerra won its season-high fifth straight game under interim coach Phil Talleur.
Mater Dei 74, Santa Margarita 26: Kaeli Wynn and Harmony Golightly scored 19 and 18 points, respectively, and Addison Deal added 14 points and 10 assists to lead the visiting Monarchs (18-2, 1-0). Mater Dei tied a season-high with its seventh consecutive victory.
In the Sunset League:
Los Alamitos 53, Fountain Valley 51: Maya Asumbrado and freshman Maile Heng each scored 18 points and Bryn Pagett added 14 rebounds as the second-place Griffins (15-6, 5-1) stayed on the heels of first-place Corona del Mar (14-7, 6-0).
In the Crestview League:
El Dorado 47, Esperanza 39: Bianca Carter scored 15 points, Kennedy Wood added 13 and Sofia Shine had 10 rebounds to lead the visiting Golden Hawks (13-7, 3-1).
On Saturday, El Dorado will play Roosevelt (16-7) at the Norco showcase at 6 p.m.
