(KRON) — About 200 bronze vases were stolen from a cemetery in the East Bay, the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.
The vases were stolen from Oakland Memorial Park at 2099 Valley Road, which is in unincorporated Lafayette. Authorities are investigating the case as grand theft.
The vases had been attached to gravesites before they were stolen. The cemetery reported the thefts in December.

It is currently unknown when the vases were taken. A memorial bench was also vandalized, CCCSO said.
