Instacart joins growing list of businesses offering a helping hand to SoCal wildfire victims, first responders

Instacart is waiving delivery fees for customers in LA County in response to the devastation caused by the wildfires that continue to burn across the region.

For a limited time, delivery fees will be waived for all grocery and daily essentials orders of $10 or more. Instacart said in a statement that they are doing this to support the LA community.

The delivery service isn’t the only company stepping up to help wildfire victims.

If the wildfires have impacted you or a loved one, here are some services you can use.

  • Shake Shack is offering them free Shackburgers at any location across the county. The deal will be valid until Sunday.
  • Mountain Mike’s Pizza in Pasadena will be offering free meals and a place to rest to first responders.
  • U-Haul is opening its facilities across Southern California for 30 days of free self-storage to victims. The U-Box container disaster relief program is also available to assist evacuees and affected families.
  • Everytable, a Los Angeles-based company that provides nutritious meals, is providing free meals to first responders until Jan. 12.
  • Uber and Lyft are helping evacuated residents with free rides to shelter locations.
  • The Abbey West Hollywood is offering free meals to evacuees and first responders
  • World Central Kitchen, spearheaded by chef José Andrés, has a relief team in Southern California to assist first responders and families.
  • Airbnb, in collaboration with 211 LA, is offering free temporary housing for residents displaced or forced to evacuate due to the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles County.
