1. Santa Margarita (9-0): The Eagles can improve to 10-0 with a win against visiting Trabuco Hills on Tuesday. Santa Margarita beat Troy 3-1 on Saturday behind goals from Felicity Nguyen, Mia Corona and Emmie Nunez.
2. Mater Dei (8-2-3): Freshman Lucy Mendiola leads the Monarchs with five goals while junior Suna Roberts and freshman Kendra Hansen each have four.

3. Edison (7-4-2): The Excalibur champion plays host to Newport Harbor in the teams’ Sunset League opener on Tuesday at 5 p.m.

4. JSerra (8-4-1): The Lions finished second to nemesis Roosevelt at the Silverlakes Winter Classic on Dec. 28. Two of the Lions’ losses are against Roosevelt.

8. Newport Harbor (7-2-3): The Best in the West semifinalist faces Edison and El Dorado this week before a Battle of the Bay showdown against Corona del Mar (11-1) next week.
