(KRON) — The Antioch Police Department (APD) said a 26-year-old man was the victim of a homicide on Monday morning.
Antioch PD confirmed officers responded at 10:17 a.m. to the 3900 block of Rockford Drive for a reported shooting. At the scene, officers found the man on the ground with gunshot wounds.
Police and paramedics tried to save the victim, but he later died at a nearby hospital. Investigators said the victim’s identity is not yet being released.
APD said its bureau handling the case consists of Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) and detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit (VCU).
