SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — The San Francisco Police Department (SFPD) is asking for the public’s help after a person died from being struck by a driver on Saturday.
SFPD said officers responded to the intersection of Silver Avenue and Colby Street for a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived, they found the victim on the ground with life-threatening injuries.
SFPD said police and medics attempted to provide aid, but the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said the suspected driver left the scene after the crash.
SFPD urges anyone with information to call 415-575-4444 or text a Tip to TIP411, starting the message with “SFPD.”
