(BCN) — A man hit by a car last month in North San Jose has died from his injuries, police said Thursday. The collision happened shortly before 6 p.m. on Dec. 11, when a man was in a crosswalk on Hikido Drive near Flickinger Avenue, San Jose police said.
The pedestrian was hit when a man driving a 2007 Toyota Camry westbound on Hikido turned onto southbound Flickinger. The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
The pedestrian was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later stabilized, according to police.
Police were notified this week that the pedestrian had died on Dec. 19. His name was not released.
The death was the city’s 48th traffic death of 2024.
