If you thought the Los Angeles Dodgers would slow down on player signings because they already assembled a world champion roster, then you were wrong.
According to the team on Friday, the Dodgers have added one of this offseason’s most sought-after prizes: Korean star second baseman Hyeseong Kim.

Kim, 25, played eight years with the Kiwoom Heroes of the KBO, posting a .304 batting average over that span. He’s also known for his speed, stealing 30 bases last season.
Perhaps he’s more recognized for his glove than his bat, however. Kim has won the KBO Golden Glove Award four times — three at second and one at shortstop.
It’s not immediately clear if he’ll stay at second or move to shortstop for the Dodgers. The team labeled him a utility player in their announcement.
Reports say his contract is for a guaranteed $12.5 million over three seasons plus an option for fourth and fifth years.
