(KRON) — Gilroy police are asking for the public’s help after releasing surveillance footage of two suspects during a Christmas Day store burglary.
Gilroy police said the incident happened at My Secret, located at 7680 Monterey Road.
Investigators said two masked thieves made off with nearly $2,000 worth of custom western embroidered belts and baseball bats. Police said the targeted business also has to replace glass in the front door where the suspects broke-in.
The owner of My Secret posted video from the burglary on social media, expressing her frustration with the situation. “Here in Gilroy, the problem is that many people know about this but can’t do anything, no matter how many reports are made. Be careful, everyone—these people don’t just break into local homes or businesses; they also steal packages delivered by mail. I hope you can help spread the word. Many of us in the Gilroy area already know who they are and where they live, but for those who don’t, it’s important to know so they can stop supporting them by buying the stolen goods.”
Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Gilroy Police Department.
