A single-engine plane crashed into a building near Fullerton Airport Thursday afternoon, Jan. 2, shortly after the pilot had radioed about an emergency landing.
The collision occurred in the 2300 block of Raymer Avenue at about 2:30 p.m., police said.
The aircraft went into a building, KTLA5 has reported.
Evacuations were under way.
The number of casualties, if any, is unknown. Black smoke can be seen from surrounding areas.

About 90 seconds after the pilot had taken off from Fullerton Municipal Airport, he radioed in to the Federal Aviation Administration tower at the airfield that an emergency landing was required.
The plane was given clearance to use either side of the runway, according to the tower transmission.
In November, the pilot of a four-seat plane hit a tree a half-mile from the airfield while attempting to make an emergency landing; the aircraft had just taken off from the airport. Both people on board suffered moderate injuries.
This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
