(KRON) — The Gilroy Police Department is seeking the public’s help in identifying two women who allegedly stole a wallet from a car last month while the victim visited a loved one at a cemetery.
Police said the two women took the wallet and a cell phone from the victim’s car that was parked at Gavilan Hills cemetery on Dec. 18. Later that afternoon, the victim noticed the thieves were using her credit cards.
The suspected thieves used the credit cards to make purchases at various businesses in Gilroy, including KFC, Kohl’s, Safeway, Shell, Valero and Cardenas, according to authorities.
Gilroy PD distributed photos of the two suspected women who were caught on security cameras.
“If you recognize these criminals, please let us know,” the department said on Instagram.
