Officers discovered over $154,000 worth of meth during a traffic stop in San Bernardino County.
On Dec. 24, California Highway Patrol officers in Victorville spotted a driver making an unsafe “turning movement” on US-395 near the 15 Freeway.
Officers pulled the driver over and noticed signs of alcohol and drug intoxication. An investigation was conducted and the suspect was arrested for DUI.
While searching the suspect’s vehicle, officers discovered over 44 pounds of methamphetamine in the trunk, worth over $154,000 in street value.
Photos of the arrest show the illicit narcotics were stored in 20 large, air-sealed packages. The suspect’s identity was not released as the case remains under investigation.
“Well done removing a dangerous driver and this dangerous substance from the roads,” CHP officials said. “Continue to drive safe during this holiday season. Designate a sober driver and if you see dangerous driving call 911.”
