FedEx driver arrested on suspicion of DUI after Anaheim crash

A 22-year-old Buena Park man working for FedEx was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after allegedly crashing a work truck into other vehicles at an Anaheim intersection on Thursday night, Dec. 19, authorities said.

The collision was in the northbound lanes of Euclid Avenue at Crescent Avenue near Anaheim Plaza around 7:30 p.m., Anaheim police Sgt. Matt Sutter said.

The truck driver sideswiped a sedan and rear-ended a minivan, sending it into another vehicle in front of it, Sutter said.

“The driver showed signs of intoxication,” Sutter said.

Three people were hospitalized, including the driver, Anaheim fire Capt. Ryan Lazar told OnScene TV, a freelance news organization that sometimes works with the Southern California News Group. Sutter said the suspect and a passenger in the minivan suffered minor injuries; the condition of the third injured person was unclear.

Video from the scene shows a box of BeatBox, punch with alcohol, on the ground just outside the driver’s side of the FedEx truck.
