Southern California’s holiday forecast may include a bit of rain this Christmas Eve.
“There is a chance of some light rain that’s coming up on Tuesday. That will be during the evening hours,” KTLA meteorologist Henry DiCarlo said Friday.
The showers aren’t ikely to be very strong but could result in some ponding on roadways and slippery streets, the National Weather Service stated.

Overall, most of Los Angeles and the surrounding areas will be looking at less than a quarter of an inch of rain from the storm. “Not a big deal for us,” Henry said.
The best chance for measurable totals will be along the foothills and in the mountains.
Areas north of Point Conception could see up to half an inch of rain, the Weather Service stated.
“The upper system will also usher cooler conditions into the area, with high temperatures cooling to the 60s in most places by Wednesday,” the Weather Service stated.

As for the upcoming weekend, we could get some cloud coverage on Sunday but no rain is expected as last-minute shoppers head to the stores.
Friday is also the shortest day of the year with sunset arriving at 4:47 p.m. Fall will officially end tomorrow as days start to get longer.
